BIRMINGHAM CITY: HUGHTON KEEPING LOAN OPTIONS OPEN

Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton says a decision is yet to be made regarding the futures of on loan striker Chris Wood and young 'keeper Jack Butland.

Wood's temporary switch is set to expire in January and Hughton has revealed that he is in talks with the 20 year old's parent club, West Bromich Albion, about extending his stay.

"It's a decision we have to make and West Brom have to make and we are in continuous dialogue with them. He's a young man who has done very well for us."

Butland, recently on loan with League Two side Cheltenham, is another player itching to remain at St Andrews.

Hughton says he is currently debating whether to keep the youngster at the club or send him out on another loan spell to continue his development, "Whether to loan him out again will be one of the bigger decisions we have to make."

"He's a very good young goalkeeper who went to Cheltenham and played very well," the City boss continued.
