Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton is expected to make a move for a goalkeeper ahead of Saturday's clash with Carlisle United.
Jed Steer returned to Norwich City this week after sustaining a thigh injury so the Glovers only have coach Gareth Stewart as a recognised 'keeper.
"We have got one or two that we are waiting to come back. I cannot rush into this decision because Jed was hand picked and was someone we had been looking at for a while. It is important that we get the right one in."
Stewart joined the Glovers' coaching team last season and hasn't featured in a competitive fixture since 2008 but Skiverton was not against the idea of him starting this weekend's game.
"I am talking to one club especially at the moment and we are hoping that we get him down before training tomorrow for a loan. If not, Gareth will be starting at the weekend and we will be getting in someone for the next week. I have no problems putting Gareth in for one game."
