Staines Town have handed former Hampton & Richmond defender Dean Wells a chance to resurrect his career at Wheatsheaf Park.
The 22 year old was sentenced to 12 months in prison in April for his part in a brawl between Brentford and Leyton Orient supporters in May 2010. He served just five months before being released this week and Swans boss Steve Cordery has now given him a lifeline.
Wells was formerly with Brentford before moving to Blue Square South side Hampton & Richmond.
