Shrewsbury Town have confirmed the injury to defender Reuben Hazell is not as bad as first feared following discussions with a specialist.
Hazell had a MRI scan earlier this week, following an injury in the clash with Torquay United, that revealed he had suffered a torn cruciate, but medical staff don't believe he will require surgery to repair the damage.
The club expect the experienced defender to be out of action for four months as starts his rehabilitation process.
