PORTSMOUTH FC: FUTACS OFF THE MARK

Portsmouth's summer signing from Werder Bremen, Mark Futacs says his debut goal for the club against FC Rostov this week will improve his confidence.

The 21 year old scored the opening goal in Pompey's 2-0 victory over the Russian Premier League side and believes it will be the first of many for the club.

"There were a few chances for me in the first half before I scored, so I was delighted that I finally managed to put one away. I don't care how the goal was scored, the only thing I care about is that I scored it. It's important for my confidence."

The game against Rostov was organised to help raise funds for the families of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl hockey team who were involved in a fatal air crash last month.
