NOTTINGHAM FOREST: SLEW OF APPLICANTS

Nottingham Forest have revealed they have received over 40 applications for the vacant managerial post at the club, just three days after Steve McClaren's resignation.

Speaking to the club's official website, chief executive Mark Arthur said a thorough process would take place in appointing the next boss at the City Ground.

"We are more determined than ever to have a proper structure at the club and a footballing culture that will stand us in good stead going forward, not just in the coming months but the long term. I would hope by the middle of next week that we will have someone in place."
