NORTH FERRIBY UNITED: HEATH NAMED NEW MANAGER

Billy Heath has been handed the reigns at Evo Stik Northern Premier side North Ferriby United.

The former Frickley Athletic boss becomes Ferriby's fourth manager in less than twelve months after he resigned from his position at Hall Road Rangers at the weekend.

Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail the new man revealed his intentions to add to his squad ahead of the weekend's clash with Northwich Victoria.

"I'm looking at bringing in maybe two or three players. Hopefully I can get one or two in before Saturday but it's in the hands of other clubs and their goodwill."

"They will be permanent deals as we look for more competition for places within the squad. We don't seem to have that at the moment but we will when we get our injured players back. I'm not looking to make wholesale changes because there is a good football team here. It's tried and tested having made the play offs for two years."

Les Hare, Ferriby's chairman, felt Heath was the ideal candidate to replace John Anderson who resigned from the post in September.

"I believe we have made the right appointment having taken into consideration all of the existing issues and we wish Billy every success in what are challenging times ahead."

"Our choice has been a difficult one, given the number and quality of applicants for a position the club didn't even advertise. We have considered both internal and external options and eventually made this appointment with the best interests of the club in mind." Hare continued.
