CHAMPIONSHIP

IPSWICH TOWN: Fulham boss Martin Jol has dealt a blow to Paul Jewell after  insisting that goalkeeper David Stockdale is not for sale.

LEICESTER CITY: The Foxes vice chairman Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn insists the club have not had any contact with former boss Martin O'Neill over the vacant managerial post at the club.

BIRMINGHAM CITY: Chris Hughton believes the Blues' involvement in the Europa League is having a beneficial impact to their performances in the Championship.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION: Gus Poyet has decided against offering trialist Zoltan Liptak a contract at the club.

IPSWICH TOWN: Paul Jewell has revealed that striker Michael Chopra is receiving treatment for a gambling addiction.

READING: Brian McDermott has rubbished reports linking him with the vacant managerial post at Leicester City.

HULL CITY: Kamel Ghilas has described the circumstances of his exit from the KC Stadium as 'weird' in an interview with France Football.

AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Steve Cook had completed his loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Striker Gary Madine is the subject of an investigation by the Football Association following his dismissal against Carlisle at the weekend.

LEAGUE TWO

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE: James Brent's takeover of the club has been approved. The club are now expected to leave administration.

CRAWLEY TOWN: Steve Evans has revealed he is preparing for League One football next season despite only being three months into the season.

BARNET: Lawrie Sanchez has revealed that midfielder Tommy Fraser was all set to leave the club this week before talks between the Bees and an unnamed club broke down.

BRISTOL ROVERS: Stuart Campbell insists he is happy to remain with the Pirates despite being linked to a string of other clubs.

WORKINGTON: A takeover bid by London based businessman Baron Bloom have been rejected by Reds Chairman Humphrey Dobie.

HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH: Patrick Drmola has signed on loan from Premier League side Norwich City.

EASTLEIGH: The Spitfires have taken goalkeeper Jack Dovey on loan Southampton for a month.

DORCHESTER TOWN: Ashley Vickers has been relieved of his duties at the Blue Square South club. Phil Simkin and Mark Jermyn will prepare the team for today's clash with Tonbridge Angels.

THURROCK: Bertie Brayley has followed in the footsteps of Mark Wright this week by making the switch from Heybridge Swifts to Ship Lane.

HISTON: David Livermore has changed his mind about taking Blaine Hudson, Liam Hughes and Jack Eades on loan from Cambridge United, blaming the high fees involved.

HASTINGS UNITED: Mark Stapley will take charge of the first team again this weekend after talks between the club and their number one candidate for the vacant managerial post broke down.

SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

RANGERS: Former Port Vale loanee Andrew Little has been ruled out of action for six weeks with ligament damage.

STIRLING ALBION: Greig McDonald has been given the green light to return to training after being sidelined since February with an achilles problem.

BRECHIN CITY: Jim Weir says he will keep the faith with striker Graham Weir despite the club averaging just one goal in their six previous games.

ANNAN ATHLETIC: The home game against Peterhead has been moved back to November 8th with a 7.30pm kick off.

RANGERS: The Scottish Premier League side are in talks with striker Kyle Lafferty over a new contract.

CLYDE: Alloa Athletic's visit to the Broadwood Stadium will now take place on November 8th at 7.45pm due to Clyde's involvement in the Scottish Cup.

EAST STIRLINGSHIRE: Berwick Rangers' trip to Ochilview Park will now take place on November 9th due to East Stirlingshire's involvement in the Scottish Cup. Kick off will be at 7.45pm.

STIRLING ALBION: Daly McSorley has returned to training following a month on the sidelines with a broken jaw.

PETERHEAD: Aaron Conway is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken wrist during the week.

ELGIN CITY: The clash with Montrose, originally planned for today will now take place on November 8th.

WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE

AIRBUS UK: Gareth Owen believes his squad have turned the corner following their poor start to the season. They celebrated their second successive win on Friday against Prestatyn Town.

LEAGUE OF IRELAND

SHAMROCK ROVERS: Michael O'Neill is reportedly poised to take the reigns of the Northern Ireland national squad.

SLIGO ROVERS: St Johnstone have revealed they halted negotiations with Paul Cook over the vacant managerial position because of his high wage demands.

DROGHEDA UNITED: Mick Cooke has signed a new two year contract at the club.

IFA PREMIERSHIP

LINFIELD: Mark McAllister has come out in support of his misfiring striker partner Rory Patterson. The latter has notched just three goals in eleven appearances this season despite scoring 41 for the club two seasons ago.
