HISTON FC: LIVERMORE THREATENS TO RESIGN

Histon manager David Livermore has issued a warning to fans that he will walk away from the club if they continue to criticise his managerial decisions.

The team's 3-3 draw with Vauxhall Motors at the weekend was met by audible dissatisfaction from sections of the crowd prompting Livermore to hit back.

"If they want direct football they're more than welcome to have it back. It's a hard enough job trying to educate the players we have, I certainly haven't got time to educate supporters as well."

"I'm not saying it's everyone, it's always a small minority. But it's usually the same voices. My patience is getting thin now. I'm quite happy to call it a day if that's what they want. I want the team to play football. If they want something else, they're supporting the wrong team."

Livermore oversaw Histon's relegation from the Blue Square Premier last season but had been given a chance to bounce straight back. They currently sit in 15th position in the Blue Square North.
