Jeff Henderson, a 19 year old defender, will link up with the Tynesiders for a month as cover for injured skipper Ben Clark.
Gateshead boss Ian Bogie was delighted to have acquired another promising player from the Magpies, "Henderson is a young up and coming player who I've seen on a few occasions and who is highly rated at Newcastle."
Henderson will join up with one familiar face at Gateshead, Jak Alnwick is also on loan from Newcastle at the club.
