CARDIFF CITY: BLAKE THANKFUL FOR BREAK

Cardiff City midfielder Darcy Blake believes the international break will have done his side the world of good.

The Bluebirds were defeated 2-1 in their last league outing against Hull City but prior to that had been on a run of eight games without a loss. Blake hopes the injuries that blighted their last fixture will have settled to give them a shot against Saturday's visit of Ipswich Town.

"If we could have got something out of the Hull game that would have been good and I thought we were going to do that when we scored and then that penalty decision. I thought we'd hauled our way back in, but sadly it wasn't to be."

"I just think it's been a bit of bad luck when you look at the injuries. I mean, two left backs going down and Rob Earnshaw and Kenny Miller too. Hopefully now the international break has given our injured players the chance to recover and be fit for Ipswich." He continued.
