A recent scan revealed a more serious injury which could leave the 23 year on the sidelines for a lengthy spell.
"Unfortunately, Jacques has ligament damage and I guess he's going to be out for between four and six weeks. I'm gutted for Jacques because he's been in good form this season and is one of the reasons why we've made a good start," Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido said.
