BRISTOL CITY FC: ROBINS SACK MILLEN

Keith Millen has parted company with Bristol City after a 5-0 reverse against Blackpool at the weekend.

A statement on the club's official website from chairman Colin Sexstone read, "I'd like to place on record my thanks to Keith for his 12 years of service at the club. He is an outstanding coach and we wish him all the very best for the future."

Millen took over the vacant managerial position at Bristol City last summer, following the departure of Steve Coppell. He lead them to a 15th place finish in the league in his first season in charge.

The Robins won just one game all season under Millen, a 2-1 victory over Leicester in the third league game of the season. They are currently rooted to the bottom of the Championship.
