ARLESEY TOWN: COHEN RESIGNS

Arlesey Town chairman Manny Cohen has stepped down from his position at the club, citing personal reasons.

The club's director of football, Gary King commented on the news, "Manny will be sorely missed at our football club. He brought a level of professionalism into the club which contributed to our recent successes."

"This current season was always going to be a difficult one and Manny's departure certainly won't make it any easier. That said, both the committee and myself are firm believers than when one door closes another one opens."

Entrepreneur Cohen, who had been with the club for three years, spoke of his pride this April as his Arlesey side won promotion from Zamaretto Division One, "I'm so proud of the way we did it in the end. Winning the league twice says a lot about the players we have here."

"Myself, Gary King and everyone at the club pulled together in working to build the morale of the players and they found an amazing inner strength which really showed on the day."

King added, "Everyone involved at Arlesey Town FC will continue to enjoy and learn about football for the first time at this level in our history."
