The 26 year old centre back had only been with the Wood since May but has now swapped one under-performing team for another. Thurrock are in 21st place in the league with Boreham Wood just above them in 20th.
Smith lists Cambridge United, Ebbsfleet and Farnborough amongst his former clubs.
