In an interview the 20 year old has spoken in depth about sustaining the injury and the recovery process he must undertake, "I did it in preseason when we had a bounce game, I went in for a slide tackle and my back was in pain, so I came off. I had a scan a couple of days later and it showed that up. I was worried as there was a little fracture in my back but the physio said I'd be fine and put my mind at ease."
"There's not really a timescale for when I'll be back. It just depends on how I feel and if Gerry [Physio] feels I'm ready to go. It shouldn't be too long as I know I'm close."
