NEWPORT COUNTY: EXILES MAN SIGNS FOR SALISBURY

Robbie Matthews has moved to Salisbury City on a short term loan deal from Newport County.

The 28 year old spent time on loan with Forest Green Rovers earlier this season, but now returns to Salisbury for his second stint at the club.

He signed for Newport last season saying at the time of his move, "I want us to be pushing for play offs next season and my personal ambition is to score at least 15 goals."

Matthews has struggled for first team opportunities this season owing to the attacking performances of Danny Rose and Elliott Buchanan.
