Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has ruled out the transfer of striker Marvin Emnes.
The 23 year old, who was just named Championship player of the month for August, has been in sparkling form so far this season and Mowbray is determined to hold onto his prize asset.
"He's just signed a four year deal. Marvin's a lovely lad who's enjoying his life here at the moment. He wants to come to training with a smile on his face and if he stays fit and continues his high level of performance he's going to play."
Emnes had a difficult season with 'boro last term. Under Gordon Strachan he was left out in the cold and sent out on loan to Premier League bound Swansea City. In late October when Middlesbrough appointed Mowbray as their new boss Emnes was recalled and notched three goals in the remaining games of the 2010/11 season.
