Leyton Orient youngster George Porter was pleased after his first start of the season against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
The youngster, a summer signing one year ago from Cray Wanderers, scored his first goal in league football in the match but couldn't help the O's falling to their eighth defeat of the season.
Speaking to the club's official website he said, "I was pleased to finally get a goal. It's my first start and scoring was good but obviously I'm disappointed with the result."
"I can't believe how quickly it's happened for me to be honest. It was a big jump from Cray to here and last year I was on loan at Lewes and Hastings. This year I feel like I'm coming on and the main thing for me is that I want to keep progressing."
Porter notched seven goals in five outings for Cray Wanderers during the 2009/10 season, form that saw him snapped up by the O's the following year.
