Since 1998 Chris had had a close relationship with the Tudors, working closely with the club's youth system, organising tournaments within the youth set up and ultimately becoming Vice Chairman of the Hemel Hempstead first team in 2010.
A statement on the club's official website concluded with, "Chris was a gentleman above all and a well loved and respected member of the club. He was a good friend and a role model to all, and will be very sorely missed by all that knew and met him."
Chris is survived by his wife and three sons.
