DUNDEE FC: STUDENTS TARGETTED

Dundee are to set up an initiative in order to attract a new breed of fans.

The first step in garnering a new audience for the Dark Blues is to offer 3,000 students from the University of Dundee and the University of Abertay access to Dundee's game with Hamilton on September 24th for just £1.

Dundee's chief executive Harry MacLean thinks it is an ideal opportunity for the club to reach out to new fans from all parts of the world.

"Students from all over the world come to study in Dundee and, by coming to Dens Park, I hope that it will add to their experience of being a student in Dundee. They may end up becoming life long supporters."

The new intake of students at both Dundee universities can expect to see representatives from the club during the freshers week.
