True to his word Crawley Town boss Steve Evans has completed his second signing of the day, bringing in former Sheffield United and Preston North End defender Claude Davis.
Speaking to the Red Devils' official website, Davis said he was happy to have secured a deal after being a free agent following the expiration of his Crystal Palace contract in the summer, "I am delighted to have signed and I can now look forward to playing competitive football."
"I have done a proper preseason and I am as fit now as I have ever been. I have been training twice a day at Notts County and I am grateful to them. I also played a number of friendly matches behind closed doors but you cannot beat the real action when the result counts for something."
The 32 year old centre back should feature for his new side as they host Bradford City on Saturday.
