The Football Association have charged Chesterfield manager John Sheridan with misconduct following their clash with Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
Sheridan felt the Spireites should have been awarded a penalty during the second half of the match but referee Graham Scott ignored his protests, resulting in Sheridan confronting the fourth official and subsequently being sent to the stands.
Sheridan has a chance to appeal the charge but if found guilty he could face a spell in the stands.
