22 year old Cook, who has had previous spells with Dagenham & Redbridge and Braintree Town, is on the comeback trail after recovering from an injury sustained earlier in the year.
Despite playing him in the game between the two sides on Wednesday evening, manager Glenn Pennyfather knows the loan spell will be good for the young winger.
"For individuals like Cookie it's crucial that they get back into good habits and he wanted to stay on for longer. I know he'll be looked after over at Canvey and it will be good for him to be playing in a winning team while he's away."
