Bradford City have sent Simon Ramsden to Lilleshall in order to help with his recovery from injury.
The centre back struggled with a calf injury last season and during pre-season preperations for the new League Two campaign. City boss Phil Parkinson hopes the week at the rehabilitation centre will help him recover quicker.
"I've heard how he has had setbacks with his calf in the past but he's made progress in terms of being positive and he's running again. We just felt he could do with four or five days at Lilleshall, where he will be getting specialist treatment all day."
"People have written him off in the past but we hope he will be back in contention sooner rather than later."
Ramsden managed just three appearances for the Bantams last season, in an injury ravaged campaign.
