Craig Brown has admitted he may have to send Jamie Langfield out on loan in order to help in his fight back to full fitness.
The 31 year old suffered a brain seizure in the close season and has yet to feature for Aberdeen this season. Brown believes a spell away from the club, playing first team football will benefit Langfield in the long run.
"We've got to discount Jamie from starting as first choice at the moment. A suitable short term emergency loan of 28 days may get him four or five games with someone who maybe needs a goalkeeper short term."
Upon his return from any forthcoming loan spell Langfield will have to compete for the number one jersey with David Gonzalez and Jason Brown.
