The young forward had approached Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio midweek with concerns over his future at the Wiltshire club following the acquisitions of Leon Clarke and Lukas Magera.
Torquay boss Martin Ling was pleased to sign the 19 year old, "He started Swindon's first three games of this season and I think that proves to everyone the quality he has and the talent he is."
Bodin will come straight into the Gulls squad for the game against Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend.
