SWINDON TOWN FC: DI CANIO CONFIDENT OF SECURING CLARKE

Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio is confident that a deal can be agreed to bring QPR forward Leon Clarke to the County Ground.

"I don't know if it will happen in time for Sunday but I will be happy if he signs before then. I spoke to him after the game at Dagenham and things are looking positive between our club and the player." Di Canio said.

QPR have just acquired a new chairman and because of that they are expected to be busy ahead of the transfer deadline, something that bodes well for Di Canio's hopes of securing Clarke's signature.

Clarke signed with QPR after his Sheffield Wednesday contract expired, however he has struggled to stake a claim for himself in their first team, managing just two league starts.
