Rotherham United have dismissed reports that striker Adam Le Fondre has handed in a transfer request.
A spokesman for the South Yorkshire club said, "He has never given us a written transfer request or asked for a move."
The reports of Le Fondre asking to leave the Millers follow the news this week that neighbours Sheffield Wednesday have placed another bid for the striker.
Despite Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart setting a price of at least 500k for Le Fondre Wednesday have made a series of offers believed to be around the 250k mark.
The Owls are not the only club interested in acquiring the Millers forward, Coventry City are another team who are understood to have tested the water with offers for him.
