That's according to chairman John Madejski who has spoken of the fact the club do not have a large amount of money to spend on transfer fees this term, "Everyone is frustrated. The people who have gone from here, like Shane Long, are Premier League players. Had we got there, he would have been here. There isn't a great heap of cash waiting to be spent."
Reading have failed to carry on their good form from the end of last season, that saw them reach the Championship play off final, instead finding themselves in 14th place in the table, taking only 4 points from their opening four league fixtures.
