There were wins for Hinckley United and Worcester City in the Blue Square North tonight, whilst Hitchin Town finished the evening on a high, scoring three goals against Hemel Hempstead.
Stuart Hendrie [2] and Andre Gray helped Hinckley United to a 3-0 trouncing of Gainsborough Trinity. The game followed Hinckley's defeat of the same scoreline to Guiseley on Saturday and will have been just the response Dean Thomas was looking for from his players. The Worcester / Vauxhall Motors game ended 2-0 with the goals coming from Matt Birley and a penalty from Luke Corbett. Hitchin Town moved to the top of the Evo Stik Southern League after a 3-0 win against Hemel Hempstead. Zak Burke scored in the second consecutive game for the Canaries, and the scoring was completed by a John Frendo brace.
This evenings results have altered the Blue Square North table as follows; Vauxhall Motors have dropped down 1 place and now reside in 22nd while Worcester City move up 10 places to sixth. Hinckley United have risen 12 places to 10th and Gainsborough Trinity now sit in 11th position, falling 8 places.
After Hitchin and Hemel Hempstead's game this evening, Town have moved up 10 places and now sit on top of the Evo Stik Southern League and Hemel Hempstead have dropped 4 places down to 14th.
