The 20-year-old will look to be amongst the squad in this Saturday's opening game against Bath City, following injuries to fellow defenders John Thompson, Ritchie Sutton and Rhys Day, whilst Joe Kendrick will also miss out through a one match ban.
Wood, formerly of Tranmere Rovers, has made four appearances for us in pre-season.
Speaking to mansfieldtown.net, Wood said: "I've worked hard in training and played well in the pre-season games but you haven't seen the best of me yet."
