LEEDS UNITED: WHITES WANT CLOSER LOOK AT FORSSELL

Leeds boss Simon Grayson is looking to extend the trial period of former Chelsea and Birmingham striker Mikael Forssell.

30 year old Forssell is a free agent after leaving Hannover 96 and Grayson wants to see more of the player once he regains full fitness, "He's a bit short of match fitness but he's shown the qualities we've seen in him before," the Leeds boss said.

The Yorkshire club are in the market for a goalscorer and only this week were linked with Manchester City forward Roque Santa Cruz. Tony Taylor, a 22 year old American striker is also currently on trial with the club.
