KETTERING TOWN: NO CUTS THIS SEASON

Kettering Town chairman Imraan Ladak has said there will be no budget cuts this season for the Northamptonshire club.

In an interview Ladak has sought to justify the cuts that were made last season, "Last year was a bad one. We got knocked out of the FA Cup straight away, the same happened in the FA Trophy and the team couldn't get promoted anyway because of the stadium issue. It was illogical to carry on spending money just for the sake of it because we couldn't go anywhere."

This time around however he is making assurances to fans that it will be a very different situation, "The money that we saved last year is money that we have this year. I think it was prudent and the right thing to do," he said.

"We are not looking at cutting a squad that we have invested in and the signs are looking great in terms of season tickets. I would be surprised if we are having budget cuts." Ladak added.

Kettering have had an average start to the new season, winning one game and losing the other.
