The 21 year old former Dundee player is expected to join the SPL side on loan and Calderwood is hopeful he will be a big hit at Easter Road, "He's another goalscorer and I think that's what we need. Leigh had a big desire to come back to Scotland, and particularly here, so that has helped to push it through."
Griffiths has had successful spells in the Scottish Premier League, scoring 22 goals in 47 appearances for Livingston, following that up with a 21 goal return for Dundee over two years.
