Neither defender has featured for the first team this term, King played in only four matches last season whilst Richards managed seventeen.
Hessenthaler has commented on his reluctant decision to list the duo, "I didn't really want to let any players out at this present time because I would like to keep everybody together, but you have to respect players wishes. They are two great lads and they have been very good for this football club. I couldn't ask for two better professionals."
