The 24 year old was wanted by a host of clubs including those in the football league but moneybags Fleetwood have won the race to sign him.
Sheffield born Vardy said, "Fleetwood are a team on the up with ambitions of the Football League and I want to be part of that."
Vardy has notched 24 goals in 33 appearances for Halifax.
