The 31 year old has a wealth of experience after spells with Tranmere Rovers, Hull City and Scunthorpe United and Dario Gradi sees him as someone who could improve his sides fortunes, "He is an experienced defender who has been around a bit."
Hinds featured in a reserve game for the Alex and impressed the manager with his performance, "He was fine, was mobile and energetic and had some personality and was talking a lot out on the pitch."
Hinds was released by his home town club Sheffield Wednesday in the summer
