CLIFTONVILLE FC: SPECIAL OCCASION

Striker, Chris Scannell was presented with a special trophy to mark his 400th appearance for Cliftonville at the weekend.

The 33 year old scored in the game taking his tally for his whole Cliftonville career to 135 goals.

Chairman Gerard Lawlor said, "For any player to play 400 times for a single club is a remarkable achievement and it was typical of Chris to reach a goalscoring milestone on the same afternoon."
