The acquisition of McGinn is a bit of a coup Neil Young's side as he was recently named Blue Square North player of the year as Southport were promoted to the Blue Square Premier.
Young said, "With Rob Marsh Evans leaving Matty will give us greater balance on the left hand side and he has excellent crossing ability and very good set piece delivery, which I believe are two of the things we have been missing so far this season and was certainly missing at Hednesford."
