INTERVIEW: JAMES CRANE [BOGNOR REGIS TOWN]

Bognor Regis Town's defender James Crane answered a few questions for us earlier this year, discussing the 2013/14 campaign for the club and for him personally. He also touched on when he's looking forward to during the current season.

How do you feel last season went for the club?
Really well, the aim was to get in the play offs, but with the side we had and the start we had, to finish third was a real achievement for us, and another Sussex Senior Cup Final is testament to the players and management . With such a small squad, play offs and a cup final is a huge accolade for the club.
What were some of the highs and lows of the 2013/14 campaign for you personally?
Highs were playing at the Amex again and away at Maidstone, knowing we had secured a home play off semi in front of 1500 people against a side unbeaten at home all season was a sensational feeling. Personal high for me was scoring the winner against Harrow at home where we had thrown away a two goal lead, but a well worked free kick resulted in a tap in for me in the 85th minute to keep us in the play off hunt! Lows have got to be the Lowestoft game and the Amex result!
How has pre-season gone for you on a personal level so far?
Well it started really well, I had hit form and was feeling excited about the season. I then obviously injured my shoulder which has flipped it on its head and I am a gutted to be missing the start of the season.
We're quickly approaching the 2014/15 kick-off, what are you looking forward to most this season?
Playing against Margate, Maidstone and hopefully a good FA Cup and Trophy run this year too.
