WREXHAM FC: MORRELL GIVEN LONGER TO IMPRESS

Wrexham will give caretaker boss Andy Morrell a longer period to impress at the Racecourse Ground.

The striker has lead the Blue Square Premier side to three wins in his four games in charge following the departure of Dean Saunders, and is keen to press on and improve further.

"It looks like we're going to extend it until later in October. It gives everybody concerned a bit of time to get the right decision. It gives continuity to the players as well. I'm happy to do it. It gives me a bit longer as well to see if I enjoy it."

Morrell's most recent game in charge was the clash with fellow promotion rivals Gateshead, a match that ended 4-1 in the Dragons' favour.
