PRESTON NE: TURNER MAKES RESERVE COMEBACK

Preston goalkeeper Iain Turner is poised to feature for the reserve squad this week as he steps up his comeback from a broken toe.

The 27 year old has been out of the picture at the League One side for a month since sustaining the damage in a league fixture against Yeovil Town.

Manager Phil Brown said, "Iain is very close now and his return game will be in the reserves against Macclesfield on Wednesday afternoon. He's been training with us but not at 100% because he couldn't strike the ball fully with his right foot."

"We've got a few more days to work on his fitness and I'll listen to what he has to say and what the physio has to say before the Walsall game." Brown continued.
