Motherwell's Michael Higdon was chuffed to bits with his performance against Dundee United at the weekend.
The 28 year old scored twice in the 3-1 victory, resulting in him being named 'man of the match'. The game was a chance for Higdon to prove to a section of fans, who had criticised his recent performances, that he is a talented striker.
"Hopefully they will enjoy their pint tonight and recognise I am a good player. Three points was the main thing and two goals to top it off. I have to keep working hard and I got my rewards this week. I am looking to beat last season's total of 15 [goals] and I am well on the way to that."
The brace against the Terrors took the former Crewe man's goal tally for the season up to six.
