Kidderminster Harriers have been dealt a huge blow with news that their goalkeeper Daniel Lewis could miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
The 29 year old sustained a knock in training last week, resulting in him missing the clash with Kettering Town at the weekend. He underwent a scan today and medical staff at the club have revealed it showed significant damage to the problem area.
"The radiologist confirmed this morning that there is a significant change within Danny's ACL [Anterior cruciate ligament] which would indicate damage. If the damage is confirmed then Danny would eventually need surgery which would keep him out for between six and nine months, which would be a really huge blow for Danny's season and for the whole club." Club therapist Gavin Crowe said.
Lewis had been an ever present this season before the injury, it is expected that Dean Lyness will continue to deputise in goal.
