HARTLEPOOL FC: POOLS FINED BY FA

Hartlepool have been handed a fine of £2,500 for failing to control their players in the match against AFC Bournemouth last month.

The charge by the Football Association refers to a mass confrontation between opposing players five minutes before full time.

A statement on the club's official website read, "Hartlepool United find it pointless to appeal and, despite the club incurring massive annual losses, will pay the FA by the date that the payment is due."
