FRICKLEY ATHLETIC: SIMPSON OUT FOR TWELVE MONTHS

Frickley Athletic have revealed that their goalkeeper Ben Simpson could miss up to a year of football because of a persistent knee injury.

The talented 'keeper is expected to undergo more surgery on the problem area but Blues boss Peter Rinkcavage insists the club will offer him as much help as he requires.

"Ben came to see me and gave me the news and it is fair to say we are all devastated for him. People know how highly we rate him and this was the year I believed he would make the step up to higher things."

"There will always be a place here for Ben and we will wait for however long it takes him to recover."
