His current deal expires at the end of the season and the club are keen to tie him down to a longer contract following the impressive form at the start of the season.
In an interview with Sky Spors Clough said he was happy at Pride Park, "Nobody is looking to go elsewhere, everybody loves it here. This is where our heart is and we would like the opportunity to continue the work we have started in the last two years."
