Cirencester Town midfielder Nathan Davies is expected to make his first appearance in a year for the club as they face Bedford Town this weekend.
The 29 year old sustained an ankle injury twelve months ago and recently underwent surgery on the problem area, leaving him fit enough to make a return to the first team.
"I had spurs on the bone, basically from wear and tear. I had hoped to be back by Christmas but it was very frustrating what with all the red tape surrounding my health care, and I did not have the surgery until the end of May. I have been training with Croesyceiliog in the Welsh League and I feel fit, but I need some game time now."
The Centurions boss Brian Hughes is happy to have the experienced man available for selection again, "Clubs like ours just don't get hold of players as good as Nathan Davies. His experience and knowhow is priceless. He has a good engine and shows great tenacity."
