BRISTOL CITY FC: WILSON AGREES NEW CONTRACT

Bristol City defender James Wilson has inked a new contract with the Robins, keeping him at Ashton Gate until 2014.

The 22 year old has fought back from a series of injuries to be an almost ever present in the Championship this season, something he is very proud of.

"It's definitely been a turnaround. It doesn't feel great at the moment because of how the team are doing but on a personal level. It's down to hard work. There were times when I didn't think I would play again, but hard work and persistence has paid off."

Wilson is a graduate of Bristol City's youth academy and was given his first prolonged spell in the first team by recently departed manager Keith Millen.

"He's given me every chance I've ever had at the club. I'm gutted that the manager has gone because I worked with him in the academy for many years."
